It was my first design conference and I must say, it was pretty freakin' sweet. I mean, who doesn't like swag bags and free stuff? Plus, it worked out well for me to attend, as my wife and I were already in Chattanooga for vacation.

I've heard design conferences can get quite big and crowded, so it was nice that TopCon2015 was a bit smaller (only a couple hundred people). The pre-party the night before was nice for connecting with fellow designer peeps.

Pre-Party at the Edney Innovation Center

TopCon2015 featured some great speakers from a few different pockets of the design world. I'm a type nerd, so I especially enjoyed hearing from James Edmonson [of Oh No Type Co.] & Bethany Heck.

Posters from The Studio Temporary

Made some new friends. Heard some great talks. Bought a couple posters.

It was so good in fact, I went ahead and bought a ticket to Creative South 2016. Designers, go ahead and snag you one!
